Spoons has been constructing with his art for several years. The denizens of

arrow-slinging, basket-weaving bearded love tribes, an ex-hobo mushroom
farmer, and one brutally intense bat who plays drums in a proto-metal band
and would do just about anything to make a bagel relinquish its jelly

Bwana Spoons is a painter and designer living in the Pacific Northwest. He
runs a gallery  and boutique in Portland with his partner Justin Scrappers
Morrison. Among his published works are several zines Moonshine, Pencil
Fight, and Soft Smooth Brain to name a few.
Bwana has worked for and with Gargamel, Adidas, Nike, Nickolodeon magazine,
Converse, Pinball Publishing, StrangeCo, Dekline, Foundation, Hessenmob,

Legend has it that the magical, mythical beast, Babe Bunyan, wanders the Pacific Northwest, an icon of wild freedom.  Until recently, evidence of this rare creature was limited to personal accounts and paintings by Portland based artist Justin 'Scrappers' Morrison.  Now, Babe Bunyan has been realized as an articulated toy, produced entirely in Portland, Oregon, by Grasshut and Arne Industies.  To Celebrate the release of this epic symbol of Northwestern culture, Grasshut has created a series of custom painted Babe Bunyans, available now.

Le Merde's mini Hollis, the first figure in Super7's Monster Factory line, gets its first painted release!  The 'Neon Laser Eyes' Hollis is cast in translucent glow-in-the-dark vinyl with green, blue, and neon pink spray.  Standing 4 inches tall, the mini Hollis's size is dwarfed only by his hypnotic gaze and hot pink headband.  Available Saturday, June 20th, at the Super7 Store and online.
